What We Do

We’re a full service production studio who can handle everything you need to make your country song sound like it should be on the radio.

We do full instrumentation including - guitars (electric and acoustic), keys, drums, bass, banjo, mandolin, steel and more, so you don’t have to worry about hiring 5 or 6 different musicians just to release your song.

Once the track is recorded we give you Nashville level mixing and mastering - so your song sounds as awesome as major record label recording artists.

We jump on a 1 on 1 call so we can have a chat about your influences, the sound you’re looking for and any reference songs that you might have in mind. We’ll need to hear a rough version of your song, so we know what we are working on - a simple phone recording will do.

You Record Your Vocals

You record your vocals at home to the instrumental track. A basic microphone setup is all that’s needed - so don’t worry about that! Or you can come and record at the vocal studio here in Nashville. If you are concerned about your home vocal recording setup then we can help and get you ready to crush your vocal takes!

Final Mix and Master

Once you send your vocals to us, we’ll get the final mix and master completed, including manual vocal tuning - plus make any adjustments you need to get your song to a place where you love it!

Hi, I’m James Sinclair-Stott, founder of Nashville Music Works. I’ve been in the music industry for over 16 years, working in studios and touring the world as a musician. I’ve worked with over 1000 artists to bring their music to life, so they can gain millions of streams.

I started as an artist myself and, in the beginning, figuring out how to get my songs to sound as good as what I heard on the radio was overwhelming:

Where do I find musicians?

What musicians do I need?

What studio should I go to?

Do I need to find my own recording engineer?

What about sheet music and chord charts?

Once the music is recorded, how do I record my vocals?

Do I need to tune vocals myself?

How do I mix the song so it sounds competitive with other music?

Do I get it mastered?

Etc… Etc… Etc

The good news is you don’t need to worry about any of that stuff. We can handle all of the elements from start to finish - except for your vocals which you’ll need to sing yourself - but we’ll guide you through that process.

So all you need to do is show up to the microphone and do the fun part. Let us handle the complicated stuff, because that’s what we are good at!

What’s the typical timeline for my song to be completed?

Typically a couple of weeks. But quicker is possible. We want to work with your schedule, so we’ll get it ready for when you need it.

What sort of response times can I expect?

I try and get back to immediately. But if we’re in the studio recording, it may take an hour or two to get back to you.

What type of artists do you typically work with?

Being based in Nashville, we specialize in country music. But also have a track record with pop.

Who owns the rights to the final song?

You do! This is your song, We’re just bringing it to life and adding a little magic dust. But at the end of this, you own the master rights.

What do I need to have before I can hire you?

You need to have written a song. We’ll just need to hear a rough phone recording of it to get started.

What about revisions?

We’ll make changes until you love it.

Can you make me famous?

I can’t guarantee success. But I can guarantee an awesome song that will compete with the best music out there. No matter how talented you are, a bad sounding production will limit your ability to achieve your goals.
